We began in 2005 in the state of Maine as Mission Flight New England inc. I ( Dana Walker ) was able to work with boys involved with Royal Rangers to work toward their Air Ranger Merits as well as life skills that are nessesary for adulthood.

In 2007 I was forced to retire because of a back injury and moved to Florida. I attempted to continue the charity here but was unable to keep the tax exempt status nessesary for getting funding through grants and contributions that would cover the costs of flight for the youth due to a change in requirements. When relocating to another state you need to file for a whole new exemption at the cost of $600.00. Thats a lot of flying for a student.

Since that time I have met up with Donald Newton. He shared the same passion as I do for flight and teaching. We now have this new ministry outreach to youth and have received our 501 (c) 3 determination letter. We began classes and hold them on Sundays from 2-5 pm.

Don is currently not active with us but hope he will be again in the future.

You will notice we show two addresses for Mission Flight United. Our main office and corporate agent address is at 8908 Hervel Circle, Tampa and we conduct our classes at 5337 Garden Lane Tampa. Special thanks are given to East Point Assembly of God church for giving us use of their facilities to hold our classes there as our finances are extreemly limited. We do not want to be using funds that would go toward flight time for our students to be eaten up by expenses associated with property rental.
